How to Get a Hang of Minecraft, and Get Good at It

First of all, One must purchase the beloved Minecraft. Once One has made it that far, they must peruse through their planner to check if they have a sufficient amount of time, for they will need it. Most likely One will be out of reality for quite a while. Then One must acquire a taste for single player mode. One may change the difficulty to Peaceful, or Easy, or (if one dares,) Hard. Personally I took the path of Peaceful, for I wanted to get a hang of it, so feel not afraid to press that button. Then one plays. And plays. And plays. One will experiment, most likely with the Honorable Wiki up, to build an "Epic Fortress" that one will later find to be just...eh. After one acquires this taste for Single Player mode, then one may advance to Multiplayer servers, or take the lonely path Single Player for a longer period of time. However, I must confess, Multiplayer is very addicting. Also, please note that One may not just "jump" to Multiplayer, for many will believe you to be a "Nubcaike". If One goes around being uncreative with cobble "boxes", then you will most definitely be frowned upon. The last phase of learning comes from playing on Multiplayer with others from all over the globe. These others (of course, when you gain their respect [or pity]) will teach you their styles which one may find interesting and incorporate into your own; thus, creating an entirely new style of yours that one will call their own, and ultimately becoming enlightened.

I know this through experience, as I am sure many have. I, for One, followed these steps which I have now reiterated to you, and if you follow them, you will find yourself in good hands.

For instance, I built a dirt hut in the ground, with a mini farm and rooms connecting everything, prior to Multiplayer experiences . After I as introduced with my now old friend Multiplayer, I became more creative and added an underwater viewing area of glass at the bottom of the ocean (much more creative), and made aesthetic touches to my farm (Stone brick and such). I have incorporated ideas into my own style from many of my Minecraft friends, and now I find myself much more creative in my ideas then when I started off.

In the end (haha, puny), this is a great way to get the hang of Minecraft and become a better player out of it. One does not have to follow these rules exactly, for I will not obliterate you, or raid, or give you an arrow in the knee, if you do not. These are merely suggestions, and the path I took to get to where I am today. Incorporate my ideas into your own, like I mentioned earlier. Really, just do what you want to make your time well spent and you felt like you had fun. This second to last sentence is really what you should follow, so ignore the rest of my essay and pretend you only read these last two sentences.

CARRY ON
